About Yvette
Yvette has helped develop and expand our insurance program at NEDFYS. She supervises our affiliated therapists and interns and carries a caseload of insurance and TF–CBT clients. Yvette is bilingual in Spanish and English and is passionate about providing therapy from a culturally aware perspective.
Before NEDFYS, Yvette spent most of her time working in private practice and non-profit mental health centers. She has over 10 years of experience working with adolescents, adults, and at-risk youth. Yvette believes in the power of change and uses a collaborative approach to help clients understand, manage, and reduce their symptoms to feel satisfied and productive in their everyday lives.

About Daniel
Daniel joined NEDFYS in 2025, bringing a strong background in finance and human resources within the non-profit sector. As the Finance & Administration Manager, he plays a vital role in ensuring the organization’s financial stability and operational efficiency.
Daniel oversees key administrative functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, and grant management, all of which support NEDFYS in delivering essential community services. His work helps sustain programs such as counseling and therapy services, juvenile justice initiatives, crisis intervention, and community outreach efforts.
With a passion for mission-driven work, Daniel is committed to strengthening the financial and administrative foundation of NEDFYS, allowing the organization to continue making a meaningful impact on individuals, families, and communities.
Fun Fact
Daniel has taken the leap—literally—by skydiving and now has his sights set on even bigger thrills, including bungee jumping and swimming with sharks!

About Yami
Yami is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional with over a decade of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families through culturally responsive, trauma-informed care. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrates strengths-based, client-centered approaches into her therapeutic work.
Yami began her relationship with NEDFYS in 2015 as a clinical intern and joined the team as a staff member in 2019. In her current role as Clinical Services Manager, Yami oversees the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of mental health services, with a particular emphasis on compliance with Medicaid regulations.
Yami has extensive experience in clinical supervision, shelter and crisis services, and group facilitation. She has developed and delivered trainings on topics such as trauma, domestic violence, and emotional wellness. Her clinical lens is deeply rooted in cultural humility, empowerment, and a commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for healing.

About Libby
Libby currently develops and oversees community-based and school-based programs in communities throughout DuPage County. She also coordinates trauma-based services provided to families with DCFS involvement. She works directly with youth and their families individually and in groups with a client-centered and relationally-focused approach. Her background includes working with youth and adults as individuals, couples, and families, with special certification in trauma-based treatments. She is currently a certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapist and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Libby found her passion for being a therapist a little later in life after working in management. She finds it to be a great privilege to work alongside individuals who are struggling in various ways in their lives. She continues to be inspired to increase access to mental health services for as many people as possible and to try to reduce the stigma around mental health.
Fun Fact
Libby is a passionate tennis player who enjoys playing and watching tennis in her free time. Though she grew up playing soccer, she transferred her energy to a new sport to keep her as active as possible. She finds balance in spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
