About Shannon
Shannon leads strategic, cross-sector partnerships with police departments, schools, courts, and community organizations to expand access to high-quality, trauma-informed mental health services across the region.
Shannon is recognized for her ability to strengthen systems, foster collaboration, and scale responsive, community-based solutions that improve outcomes for youth and families. During her tenure, she has led major revenue expansion, scaled law enforcement partnerships by adding 11 police departments, implemented key organizational infrastructure systems, including an electronic health record and donor management platform, opened two new office locations to expand service capacity and improve the client experience, and significantly strengthened employee benefits and supports.
In 2020, she was named a finalist for Nonprofit Executive of the Year by the West Suburban Philanthropic Network. In 2023, she received the Liberty Bell Award from the DuPage County Bar Association, the highest honor awarded to a non-attorney, recognizing her contributions to strengthening the justice system and community partnerships.
Prior to her time at NuPAGE, Shannon supervised the Juvenile Diversion and Victims Services Unit for the 18th Judicial Circuit Department of Probation and Court Services. She is a co-author of the Adolescent Domestic Battery Typologies Tool Manual, published by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation.
Fun Fact
When Shannon met her husband, he had a dog named “Shannon” too. Shannon also played volleyball for Eastern Illinois University for four years and had a full athletic scholarship.
